You can salute local vets during the Sarasota Veterans' Day Parade. The Parade, with the theme "When Duty Calls," starts at Main Street and Osprey Avenue at 10:00 a.m. and proceeds down Main Street to J. D. Hamel Park on Gulfstream where a Ceremony is held at approximately 11:00 a.m. The special guest speaker at the ceremony will be Colonel Stephan D. Cork, Army retired and original commandant of Sarasota Military Academy. Sponsored by the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee.
